Funding

ANLECR&D will provide funding for research and development with the following complementary objectives:

To enable low emission coal technology (LECT) demonstration. 

The major focus of ANLEC R&D activities will be to reduce the deployment risks of early LECT projects and to accelerate the natural technology development cycle.

In order to be effective ANLEC R&D will ensure its funding in this area is directly linked to specific and sought after technology outcomes of direct importance to early demonstration projects that capture and store carbon dioxide from power generation.

To target significant cost and risk reductions for low emission coal technologies. 

In a portfolio of Alternatives and Fundamentals Research, ANLEC R&D will provide "proof of concept" funding for Australian R&D ideas that are considered most relevant to enabling accelerated LECT deployment through "step changes" in technology performance.
